Screened Cable
Screened Cable is an electrical cable that includes a metallic screen or shield, such as aluminum foil, copper braid, or a combination of both, surrounding one or more insulated conductors. The primary purpose of the screen is to protect transmitted signals from electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), ensuring reliable and accurate signal transmission. Screened cables are widely used in industrial automation, instrumentation, telecommunications, audio systems, and data communication where signal integrity is critical.
Different Types of Screened Cable:
- Foil Screened Cable
- Braided Screened Cable
- Foil & Braided Screened Cable
- Overall Screened Cable
- Individually Screened Cable
- Overall & Individually Screened Cable (OSIS)
- Screened Twisted Pair (STP) Cable
- Screened Multi-Pair Cable
